Man I love going there. Nice outdoor rest. in La Fortuna, just sit and watch long distance.

The best is parking around midnight at the gate of the Observatory, walking a couple of kilometers up to the base of the lava fields, take a bottle of wine, and just sit there for a few hours taking in the show.

The first time I did that, it sounds corny, but I was a different person. What an eartherial experience. Thanks for the info.

Isn't it interesting that they named that town 'fortuna". Costa Ricans sure do have a sense of humor.

As it turned out, it really was not, rpt not ,a great "Blow Job" by Arenal after all.

The caldera collapsed and let out quite a volumnuos "discharge' , nevertheless

Must have been taking 'Fo-Ti' in excess proscibed by the wise M.D.' s on this board.
Remember though, we should not insult and disrespect {DIS} the Gods of Nature. Arenal is one, I have listened to him[or her] many a night
