And a table to work at. I want to see if i can mix business and pleasure and find a hotel room where i can work online all day. My last room was gloomy even though i had fun but im hoping to go back soon and find a comfortable room to work in.

Any advice?

As much as I love La Amistad, it's rooms aren't exactly places you can work.

The penthouses at Hotel Castillo are. The Taormina doesn't have desks (IIRC).

The courtyard bar at SL is a clean well lighted place (Hemingway short story) where you can work during the day without being bothered. And you can look up from your work occasionally and be greeted by a smile from a beautiful chica. However, it could be distracting. :D

Have to agree w SL early being your best bet for a bright work area often w very little distraction
of course that can change as quick as you can say loud mouth redneck
ime i've never seen any actual rooms w much of a desk type work area
a good sexetary should be easy enough to come by

Penthouse #201 at LA has a big picture window and a table that easily serves as a desk. The wifi is very good at LA. I have done webexs and actually conducted training sessions from that room. The trains can cause a problem with their horns.

I stay at HDR, if you get third floor or higher, window room with views of the restaurant, it's bright there and they have a little desk and chair, it's HDR so the room is like a Howard Johnson's room from 1972 but it's cheap and sunny, when I slept in I had to pull the curtains in the morning...After a couple hours work, put your laptop in your suitcase, lock it up, go downstairs, pick an interruption, bring her back for an hour or two, send her on her way, take a little nap, hit a restaurant or order room service and back at work if need be, I would do that often...

Connection at HDR is ok. Another place, full one bedrooms, 15 minutes n of hdr boast excellent wi-fi and is a furnished apt, I believe can be had for a week or less and lot cheaper than the hotels, lots of big windows, I haven't been but friends tell me they like it.
