Any time between 3 and 8 pm on weekdays...should run you about 3500 colones.

Bandon, not sure when you last rode a taxi here, but rates have gone up and it now runs over c2000 from the REY to the KFC on Paseo Colon at 1-2pm . Depending on where he is in Rohermoser, I would think c3500 would be a good price now during the middle of the day Last time I took a taxi from the gulch to my place in San Pedro during rush hour (4-7pm for San Pedro) it cost me over c5000 and I am probably a little closer than he is. Just guessing and I could be wrong, but!!!

Hey BB...last rode a cab in San jose two months ago...assuming he is not west of the U.S. Consulate and avoids the core of rush hour...and drives down Paseo Colon...that price should be good. Further west or other undue circumstances could clearly make it more expensive. Thanks for your further detail!

Thanks! I am fairly close to the Franklin Chang office in rohermoser. Who knew a Costa Rican had been in space.

Spend much time in CR and you can't help but know...he's a national hero. Not to mention he is probably one of the foremost authorities in the world on deep space engines/propulsion. He created the Variable Specific Impulse Magnetoplasma Rocket which will probably be what NASA will use to go to Mars someday. Here's some links for the scientifically curious:

Holy shit..... I am sure I read about him in the past but it was before I had been to Costa Rica.

To me these types of additions to the threads are what make this site worth visiting. With all the name calling and bickering that goes on here, most of the time I can see both sides of the argument, this type of post is what I consider valuable. Thank you PVT for the links.
