I have several stamps in the last 5 years that are blank (no number of days written in). I never stay more than 14 days so it is not a big deal to me. All of my stamps are from SJO. None from the boarder crossings.

The immigration officer can only give you up to 90days. Not 365. Where do people come up with this stuff. They are not gawd they are immigration officials.
Reminds me of some other goofy, crazy stuff people say in CR. Like there are 5 or 7 women for every man in CR. The truth is there are more men. Arenas, grecia has the worlds best climate...taxis can charge more at night and on holidays...the urban myths of CR. Maybe its the water.
