Sleep Inn too, non hotel guests allowed, not that pricey and a big spread if you want to do the gringo bk.

Can't beleive nobody has recommended La Amistad. I always enjoyed my breakfasts there, just the way I like 'em - eggs, bacon and all that s**t.

Had to chime in on this one...the restaurant next to the Key Largo has breakfast starting every morning at 5AM. It looked really well prepared. They have bacon, sausage, rice/beans, potato/home fries, a fruit table and, best of all, an egg station...cooked as you like! I am planning on trying it tomorrow...I'll post if it isn't everything I am hoping it will be. I believe the price is a bit higher than other places, though...7k colones?

Viper..........

Also try the Sleep Inn breakfast in their lobby, next to the Del Rey. It's not quite as elaborate as the Del Mar breakfast, but it's very good for about 4 mil.

Not true at all about the muni. Have not had any shut downs at all. And the cook was late yesterday and got there at 10:40 am. I was there for the Mexico game.

Almost everyone here sleeps late. Breakfast at 10:30? Time for lunch about then. The early buffet at Sleep Inn sounds good.

Years ago Del Rey used to have a good breakfast. That was when someone wanted to stay there. I would recommend Dunn Inn. You can have fruits, eggs, coffee, pancakes, omelets, FRESH oj,etc. All well priced with CNN in the background.

???? Their breakfast is fabulous, it just costs a day's pay ($14) all you can eat, we get our money's worth last day before leaving, 2 full plate fulls....plenty of bacon, sausage, cream chicken, 3 egg omelet, some kind of beef goulash, taters, beans n rice, fresh squeezed oj, fresh fruit, toast, fried bananas, cereal, muffins, jelly, coffee...many times we shut down two platefuls early, if you're a big eater it's the place to be, otherwise SL has a good choice for smaller appetites.... 8) :D

If you go into the HDR you will see plenty of people, it appears some of us still come there, by the boatloads! Me and Grandpa just left and bagged numerous hotties, the demise of HDR is greatly exaggerated, of course the less scardey cats coming round, the more selection for the rest of us !!!!   :P :P :P       8) 8) 8)
