Any residents leave and return the last few weeks? I know it’s a different process.

Costa Rica will soon eliminate the negative coronavirus test requirement for foreign tourists, authorities announced Thursday.

Beginning on October 26, arriving visitors will no longer need to show proof of a negative PCR coronavirus test result, Tourism Minister Gustavo Segura said.

Does this look like it will remain in effect? Are there any airlines that require COVID-19 tests before flying?

Do the airlines make sure you completed the health pass before you board?

It is in effect currently (no test required by CR), but whether and for how long it remains in effect is yet to be seen. With Europe and the US now experiencing a second wave, I wonder if Costa Rica (and other countries) might tighten the rules again - even to the possible extent of closing again if it gets bad enough? I'm sure its not something that anyone relishes happening. But I wouldn't write it off the list of possibilities, either. I'm beginning to plan for an extended trip to Costa Rica, but I'm making sure that all plans are reversible just in case.

I had 3 days allotted but after two full days was just worn out.
