Check out XOOM. You can send cash that the girls can pick up at many locations, you can also directly pay some essential bills such as water (AYA) and electricity (CNFL) although the government has said it will suspend disconnects.

I sent 2 of my favorite Chicas (probably the nicest 2 working girls I ever met so far) $100 each a couple of days ago via Xoom. They didn’t ask for any help, but when I said I want to do a little help on my end and send them $100, they were extremely happy and grateful. I have done a little help here and there all along my life. As it always is, it felt very good seeing them happy for the money.

If you come to Vegas, Pops, I guarantee you won't lose any $$$ gambling....All the casinos are CLOSED. One of the measures they've instituted for safety against COVID-19 is 'Social Distancing' - where everyone stays at least 6 feet away from everyone else....My ex-wife used to call it a "Restraining Order!"

Stay healthy & be safe.

POPS; Well said. Having lived here for 35 years, I've seen many changes in Costa Rica. However nothing like I think we are going to see in next few years. Hope for the best expect the worst. Stay safe.

Best wishes everyone. I think I'm going to take a break from CRT... I'm not in CR and I think members in CR should continue to use it to stay in touch while they are in isolation.

Many countries are headed for the 50-70% infection level. The USA for sure, and probably most of Latin America. For your own sakes...self isolate. And hope for the best. At some point the majority of the chicas, the store employees...the majority of everyone will have it or will have had it. So hunker down...and best of luck. And you may be better there than in the US.

Off topic. But since the thread has many users and is current, I will ask it here.

Do you guys think booking a ticket to San Jose for this Memorial Day is reasonable? Or wait it out some more time to see how worse (hopefully not) it gets before booking it? Thanks.

Not a chance!

Are you sure that covid19 will be over in your country by then?
Will covid19 be over in Costa Rica?
Will you be able to book a ticket?
Can you get a refund for anything you have to pay for in advance?
Do you have insurance that covers you if you get sick before during or after your trip?

Maybe, just maybe another month later and things will get back to near normal.

Trump is gonna open up the economy by Easter (this just in!). Haha. Anyways I think Costa Rica won’t remain closed if things start getting better in the next 1 month.

But I hear you. I don’t think I am gonna book it now. Let me wait for a month or so and see how the graph is - declining or surging.

The biggest risk to a May trip is the borders staying closed or opening then re-closing if there's another wave of cases, or even letting people in but requiring isolation for a few weeks. Some airlines offer flexible change policies these days, so if you can find that no risk in booking. The government here is taking this really seriously - with the vehicle ban in effect at night it is creepy as Phuck in SJ right now. I don't know if I can sleep without the noise... :D

Most travel insurance will not cover corner virus cancellations. It is considered a "known risk". They cove only unexpected delays and illnesses. You better wait.

I wouldn't I think the bug is starting to move south now quicker. Mexico is just finally taking this seriously and once they start testing the numbers are going to ramp up and the people are going to freak out.

Can you book on Southwest which was totally refundable (credit given) up to 15 min. prior to the flight. That was prior to COVID-19.

I was supposed to fly out on the 28th on Delta. Obviously not gonna happen. Rescheduled to be down there over the 4th of July. Hopefully things are opened up by then.
