Are there any supermarkets or liquor stores in San Jose that sell domestic beer ... like Coors and Miller products? I couldn't find much when I searched.

Have never seen US beer at any market or liquor store but then have never looked for them either.

Saretto Supermarket in Escazu, which has the largest selection of wine, liquor & beer of any market I have been (and yes that includes Hipermas in San Sebastian) doesn't carry US brands.

Also, you may want to check the supermarket located at the entrance of the free way (on the way to the airport) pretty good selection of beers.

It used to be called "Yahoan"

Thanks Mente ... would it be on the right side of the road from the airport to the target zone? I'm guessing the taxi driver will know.

It is now a Mas x Menos and is on the left side of the road (as you come into SJO from the airport) directly across from the Coribici.

Ding Dong ir right

If you are coming from SJO is on the right hand side.

Just tell the cab driver to take you to former Yahoan in Spanish "antiguo Yahoan"

Bcarnales...have you tried drinking Imperial over ice. I've found that
it's not too bad if it's really cold.

Actually I have not Gringotim ... does it water it down? I've started out with a couple of Imperials and they go down pretty good for a few, then I develop some sort of aftertaste and then they start tasting like swamp mud. I may just have to try your suggestion. Thanks.

It doesn't water it down that much, unless of course you are a slow drinker. Try it...you might be pleasantly surprised.
