Taking my 2nd trip to CR on Halloween week. Anyone have suggestions for where I might find a high concentration of little red "riding" hoods? Or one or two "baby-dolls"?

In town as well from October 30 thru Nov 2nd.... the annual Sportsmen Halloweenie party is Saturday night November 1st I believe. Other than that just do alot of reading on the various Trip Reports. The Del Ray, Scores, Zona II and numerous MPs should keep you occupied.

I will be in SJO from Oct 24 thru Nov 3 staying at Hotel Castillo. Had planned on leaving Nov 2, but flight was at 7 am and no way I was going to miss out on the Halloween Saturday night fun. Would hate to have to leave the hotel at 4:30 for the flight. Besides I can recover all day Sunday from the festivities. Just my second trip, but after doing my reading on this site, I feel like a seasoned pro ready to negotiate. Nice thing about the MPs is no negotiating skills involved for the basics.

Hope to see you there!
:D

I have 20 vacation days I have to "use or lose" before the end of the year. I couldn't really afford a trip to Thailand so after a 6-year hiatus I will be returning to San Jose the week before Halloween thru Nov. 3rd.

I'm 61, short, need to lose 30 lbs with white hair (what there is left) and rimless glasses. I probably won't know many of the CRT members in town but if anyone remembers me be sure and say hello.

*BUMP*

OK, who else is going to be in town? I haven't picked a hotel and yes, I am flying home at 7AM on the day AFTER the SL Halloween party. I figure I can sleep and recover all day on Sunday, so whether I'm sitting on a plane or sleeping until noon, what's the difference....

Arrive Thurs noonish Oct 30th.

Muffin,

I'll be in SJO from 10/28 to 11/2. I'm leaving soon after the SL Halloween party. I also have a 7:00 AM flight on 11/2. Book your hotel soon. Rooms are going quick or have been booked already at the popular hotels. I'll be @ the SL from 10/28 to 11/30. Then on to the Mona Lisa. I would suggest that you send a email to ML. Email Guy at ML. Very helpful. I believe he may have a few standard rooms left.

Yup, I did message Guy and got myself booked into ML. Didn't realize they would go THAT quickly! Guess it's going to be a full weekend in the gulch.

Heading down this weekend and already made my reservations for Halloween weekend! Arriving on Friday and catching the 2am flight out Monday morning for a 6am arrival in FLL then catching a flight straight to work. I'll be staying at the Mona Lisa for the first time since it was the only hotel I could find at the last minute. I've read nothing but good things about the Mona Lisa.

I deserve a discount session for contributing to the local economy twice in one month but on the other hand the Tica's K*ds need food, clothing and shelter so I might as well do my part to support our hobby and keep the ladies coming back for more!

SplackTime, we all appreciate your Humanitarian Mission to Costa Rica.

You have a special place in heaven for the Humanitarian financial assistance that you provide to Costa Rica's single mothers. :P
