I plan to come for a quick trip later this week (wed eve through Friday). I'm thinking its best to go to jaco. Seems like it will be more my speed and possibly better at this time. I did a lot of reading on here, what a great board. But still have a few q's. Thanks for any help!

Will cocal be lively later this week? I'll probably get there late wed (land sjo at 9). It's close to holiday week...

What's the best way to get there from sjo? Book a car in adv I assume (olg)?

If you land at SJO at 9p, ( if you are not delayed enroute) you will have limited time to hit the Cocal on the first night as you have to go through Immigration, Customs, get a ride to Jaco, get checked in a hotel before about midnight as the action is breaking up at the Cocal about that time. You would be better off in San Jose the first night. You have a few options, Sportsmen's is usually winding down about 11p, Scores is open late and the Del Rey is open 24 hours.
You did not say when you are flying out on Friday, you could get transport to Jaco on Thursday morning and stay overnight, but you will need to line up transport back on Friday directly to the airport depending on your flight time. PVT and OLD get good reviews, Interbus is available on a fixed schedule and La Amistad has transport to Jaco and back available daily as well.

In my opinion given such a short trip window, you are better off in San Jose the whole time. Save Jaco for a longer trip. There is enough talent in San Jose to keep you happy, as many chicas will be looking for money for Papa Noel.

Thanks for the advice. I'm sure you're right. I'll think about it. I'm a bit intimidated by safety, complexity, and not great hotels in sj. Also hoping for very good looking chicas who are into it all (another girl, culo, etc.). I know...me and everyone else! ;) not too concerned about cost. Any thoughts? Thanks again. Great community here. I will join.

agree for a first trip you will have plenty to do in SJ. if SL and LA are booked then zona2 and scores are great choices and jaco is at least as dangerous if not more
ime SJ is really easy and guys will jump up off their barstool to show a newbie the scene
at the same time if you are hell bent on jaco contact the drivers

Don't worry about safety, just be prudent. And it's not that complex, really. Trying to go to Jaco and back in two days, that's more complex. And the hotels in San Jose are great. I recommend the Dunn Inn for something quiet, Chica friendly, CRT discount, and much classier than the DR. Amistad is good too. I would stay away from the Mona Lisa given the reports herein.

if you plan to drink even moderately heavy, then do not walk around after sunset (in SJ or Jaco). Though it is 'cleaner' than it was years ago, the HDR-Sportsmans-Zona triangle in SJ is no place to wander without a clear head and your wits about you. And I ended up walking from Cocal to the Monkey Bar late one night in Jaco, and I can tell you the quiet night will un-nerve you something fierce.

There are some providers written up on this site that you can contact in advance for a date. Most any provider lauded on CRT will meet your 'monger-normal' requirements.

Short trip, expense not a problem and want the hottest girls then no doubt Jaco is what you are looking for. Was there a couple of nights ago and it was PACKED with the hottest selection of girls I've seen to date. Seem they are all looking to make money for Christmas.

Getting to/from Jaco is no problem. I've taken guys late at night and picked them up at 3am for the return flights.

San Jose is OK but has nothing like the quality you find in Jaco. Also sorta cold in San Jose right now...walking around isn't all that pleasant with the temperature and brisk wind. Also a LOT more stuff do do in Jaco as far as non-mongering stuff like zip lines, fishing, ATVs etc...

PVT. usually your advice is right on, but in this case the OP has a day. That's it! He flies in late Wednesday night. And he flies out Friday, don't know what time on Friday but with check in, security, etc. if you add the drive from Jaco it shoots the whole day. Which gives him just Thursday in Jaco.

Waste of time.

If he stays in SJ, there will be less selection but he could hook up Wedneday with some planning, has all day Thursday for MP action, then Thu night pull from DR Or SL. PLUS he could have time for morning action at Scores or Zona II.

It is possible to have a good time in Jaco even if you only have 24 hours or less.

As long as he gets to Jaco Thursday afternoon-ish he can hit Cocal Thursday evening, pick up one or more providers, have fun, get in a taxi at 3 - 4 AM for the drive back to SJO, and catch the AA afternoon flight back to Miami.

Been there, done that.

I understand where your coming from Jackie, I just don't see it that way. On a normal day, it takes an hour 15 minutes to Jaco from the airport. Normal day to downtown is 30 minutes so only 45 minutes farther in travel time. On the other side of the coin, if a flight departs at say 9-10 a.m. and you need to be at the airport at 7-8am then the trip from downtown might end up being longer than from Jaco. I just see the extra hour and a half for the round trip as a non-issue no matter how short a trip is.

In this case, he can still get to Jaco in time to find a good one then all day Thursday and leave Friday. Only difference in opportunity is the 4am-11am when girls are scarce in Jaco but getting phone numbers solves that one.

Other point I see is if you want to do any OTHER activity, you'd waste a lot more time trying to do it out of San Jose. However, in Jaco, a zip line or ATV tour can be done and over in two hours.

My other point is this time of year, it can be cool in San Jose. The cooler temperatures combined with the wind can make it miserable trying to walk around town. Most guys from the U.S. don't want that on vacation. Jaco is much better for that too as it is still nice and warm.

Sounds like one of your actual trips. :P

OK PVT. you win. Your eloquent defense wins the day. To me it would be too much driving. However you do make a great point in your analysis. Plus i suppose there is always a possible hook up in advance in jaco for late Wedneday.

Herein lies the benefit of the CRT forum.

it really depends on what he's after. There is more pu*sy available 24 hours a day in San Jose, so if (like me) he is after as many good sessions as he can manage, then San Jose is his best bet.

If, on the other hand, he wants the highest quality chicas (not saying the highest quality sessions, that is YMMV), and is willing to deal with 'scene-down-time', then Jaco is for him.

I see it's too late to help the OP but I just did a one night trip to Jaco (Sunday-Monday) with a close, personal friend. Here is the report:

We traveled by private mini-bus (from an SL driver) for 130,000 colones R/T from Dunn Inn to Hotel Nine. The Driver was a few minutes early each way. Travel time was about 2.5 hrs but we took the scenic route and also stopped to check-out the crocodiles at the river. Hotel Nine ($115) was nice had no other guests than us.

The weather was nice when we got there at noon but clouded up and actually rained by 4. Very humid. The evening was nicer.

The Beatle Bar has closed off the back of the building and created the "Cavern Club". It looked to be a disco with A/C and no cover charge. We were only there in the afternoon so I can't say if they are doing any business in the disco.

Cocal Hotel & Casino had some nice talent for a Sunday night. As I was already occupied I wasn't shopping.

The trip back took approximately 1:45 hrs including a 10 minute stop for highway construction about halfway.

Getting to the airport from Dunn Inn on Tuesday was a mess with heavy traffic getting out of town at 11:30AM.

Draw your own conclusions BUT as a first-time visitor on such a tight schedule I would have to recommend staying in San Jose.

I hope he had fun in whatever he decided.

Wit
