True, though risk levels often rise and fall depending on what neighborhood you live in and where you hang out.

They picked up the body within hours after the shooting. May have been a few blood stains but perhaps the security guards cleaned that up already. So probably nothing new to see.

I figured the ho network would’ve had the scoop on this by now and be sharing it with someone who’s on the board.

They may be talking, but not to us. Ho's, workers, street folk; there is no profit and some likely danger in sticking their neck out. 'No dar papaya', tico style.

My days in Costa Rica were mostly 2010 -2016. But unless my memory is shot haha wasn’t there a time when there were no murders at all?

Sad to hear this is happening. Hell we use to go to Veracruz Mexico in the 70’s and 80’s and it was safe there. Loved that place.

My town here in US is considered pretty bad. Seems like all the shootings are black on black. Mostly some kind of gang or drug stuff. So in a city of 100,000 there are like 30 murders a year. I can’t remember one being anything other than that or similar. And 90 percent of the time it’s on the bad side of town.

The local chica gossip is the guy owed someone money but who knows. Pretty obviously drug or money related with so many shots fired and obviously not random. For those of us who are tourists or frequent travelers the biggest risk is getting caught in the crossfire if you're out there having a cigarette.
