The best place I found for that was Jazz Cafe. There are a lot of bars up in that area as well, but you are going to need decent Spanish and if you can dance you are pretty much golden. You do also need to have some balls to approach them, and you will get shot down occasionally, but for the most part it is a whole different experience from the US. I was in my late 40's when I would go there (2011-2014). Do not plan on taking them back to your room in the Gulch though. Hotel de paso ruta 32 is a good option.
