The Web site DeTope.com Agreat way to get out and see and meet the local women. These Topes are not canned Gringo tours!!! Quite a few Topes all across Costa Rica. Ticas love this ! Take your hotty or pick up one at the Parade! The parade starts around 1 p.m. and takes over Paseo Colon and Avenida Segunda along a four-mile route. Expats still have time to sign up for the Tope Nacional, which takes over the streets of San José Saturday. In the capital the event is part of the Fiestas de San José, which starts Christmas Day and runs until Jan. 3 this year. This is the annual parade of horses and riders. Rentals are available. There is something mystical in the Spanish culture about the jinete or horseman. There will be over 5000 horses and who knows for sure but there will be thousands of beautiful women! I doubt that you can see 5000 horse in one spot in the USA! There are many entertainment events, not to mention the beer company dancers. The bulk of the fiestas takes place at the Zapote fair grounds. That includes a massive carnival, food and beer booths and the Costa Rican bull fighting in the rondel. The bull fighting is more like bull baiting as a confused bull is released into some 100 to 150 individuals who torment the animal and try to stay out of the way of the hooves and horns. Lately these informal toredores are each required to take out a million-colon medical policy. The bull ring has a well-equipped clinic built in. For some, a million colons is not enough. There was a Norte Americano in with the TOROS yesterday in Zapota. He was interviewed and irrc said it was his 1st time to CR. The horns are full length! Last 2 Ticos died from injuries! Any Tope reports? |

The big parade is coming up in January. Plenty of beautiful women and 5000 horses! Over half rideen buy women! YES THAT IS A LOT OF SHIT! Go to the rodeos and see the action!!!!!! |

If you cant make it to the bull fighting, check it out on tv, its amazing to watch these guys line up one by one in front of the bulls. I couldnt look away from the broadcast when i was there in 2015. Was on almost every tv in the del rey that week of new years. |

At first they were terrified and after getting soaked in the rain and covered with mud from diving to the ground they really got wit it and went after the bull and never got hurt. Rodeos all over CR so you have many to choose from. Definitely a great way to put a loudmouth in his place when he is talking tough. Tell him to get in the ring and show us how tough you are! |
