I have made reservations at both hotels for end of September.I suggest plan for your trip and if needed make adjustments to situation. |

September ? I have a trip to Jaco in August and if cocal is closed that will definitely ruin my trip. Just my luck |

So I take it from your post that even though Cocal is closed, they are taking reservations? (Sportsmens is always easy to reserve through their website. But I've always had to call Cocal to make reservations.) |

I emailed Cocal they responded in 24 hours with confirmation number. |

I received an e-mail announcement from Bill today that SL is opening effective October 15th. I just booked for early December. Phuck it. I need a Vacation! |

I'll be visiting CR in a couple weeks and I was hoping to get some help about Cocal. From what I've been hearing from people on the ground, Cocal is open and more and more ticas have been hitting up the bar (casino is still closed). I think last weekend there were around 30 girls and barely any guys. Does Cocal rent rooms by the hour, in addition to their standard nightly rates, like Cascadas in Tijuana? I was planning on getting a beachside condo during my stay in Jaco (cheaper than Cocal's nightly rates), but obviously it would be nice not to take a taxi each time I meet a girl at Cocal. Thank you so much to everyone in this forum. I've gotten tons of great information and you guys actually saved my ass from getting sent back because of the damn medical insurance lol. |
