Dear Abby:

I recently went to Costa Rica for a "vacation". However, when I was there many women approached me and wanted to have sex with me. Of course, since I am gentleman, I graciously complied with their non-stop demands for gratification. But now I am conflicted because I have been reading what other guys have said about me on an internet chat site - and I am reading what they are saying about this ONE SPECIAL GIRL THAT IS MY GIRLFREIND!!

Please help me, Abby. Can you tell me why I am so depressed and confused?

Am I a narcissicist (because I think she is attracted to the real me, not the $$)? 8)

Am I a realist (because I know that when I am not there my novia is almost certainly with other guys)?

Am I paranoid (because I know all these posters are talking about me specifically even though they refuse to mention my name)?

Am I just phucked up (because I find myself thinking of my "novia" constantly)?

Or, does this whole thread belong in the Smack Talk section!!!

Between reading about those of us who want to live out a fantasy and those of us who are "keepin' it real" I am ROTFLMAO!!!

"Keeping it real" starts with looking in the mirror. If you are not the best "you" you can be then why would you think you deserve the best she?

"Real" also means that you are on-scene. You can't have "real" while living in different countries.

"Real" means being able to read a woman, her body language more than her lips.

"Real" means being able to say "NO" and mean it.

"Real" is not for everyone. It is full of risks and rewards. Rewards you won't get if you are afraid of the risks.

For many, maybe even most, fantasy is the way to go. Really.

One girl comes to mind named P*. I just recently saw her in a porno film, so I guess now she is doing adult films. I saw here over a year ago on a street corner with her gringo novio. She introduced me like we were friends, but we had sessioned a while back, so it was a little weird to shake his hand. Anyway, this guy thought he had his "kept" woman in Costa Rica. They were holding hands and everything - he looked as happy as can be. Later that week, I saw her hooking (assuming he flew back) at the HDR. I asked her about her novio and she laughed and said he is paying $2,500 per month for her to say in Villas Del Rio in Escazu. I asked her if she has clients over - she said no - but I could tell she was lying.

If thats your fantasy, then so be it. I prefer my pu*sy sin man chowder.

The subject of the thread is Dating Putas, not Hiring Putas.

If he was paying her, then he was a client, not a novio. Some don't understand the difference, but I certainly do.

I am going to boldly try to tie two diverse topics together. I boldly predict that the US economy will recover within a month of the time this topic (and other versions of the same) die.

I have just read most of this thead for I was thinking of jumping into this pond
My girl as we will call her did not see me as a walking ATM , when we went out for a meal she did not order the most expensive thing(she loves spaggetti) also had very good table maners and was never in a rush to go
I told her that i understood what she did for a living and knew it was to make family life better
After reading this I now know to leave it at that I am sure I will see her again and It will be great If not Next
She also knows that she has no hope for a visa and dimissed the subject when I brought it up
Yes I would love this to be the exception to the rule but after reading this thread I have gotten the right head to start working

I doubt you understood. He was paying $2,500 per month to Villas Del Rio, to "keep" his so-called novia all to himself.

And this (supporting a puta for exclusitivity) is not "hiring a puta :?: :?:   I think Phantom understood totally :!:

Well, if you were to ask him (the novio), I imagine he would have thought it was "dating" and not "hiring."

So, I think you are bringing up a bigger point... which can be blurry in Costa Rica. What is the difference between dating and hiring hookers? I personally don't see any difference. I think its illusionary, when you see a difference.

You and I are in total agreement; and I think this is exactly what Phantom was getting at. :!:

Pretty easy I'd say: We know what hiring one is. When you are dating one, she drops by after work and you say "how'd you do tonight, sweetie" and she would make some comment about gringos, flash her cash and ask you were you want to go for dinner. Pretty easy to tell the difference.

My central point is that Costa Rica is all about "Live and Let Live". We all have our problems in life, some more than others.

What I take exception to is the notion by some that they are superior to the women in the trade because their problems are less extreme than then the puta they hire to bring them pleasure.

Further, it is not a matter of sticking up for Gringos that I take exception to. It is sticking up for Gringos that are jerks, the ones that think they are better because they have more money and fewer problems.

Those types of people are not welcome here in Costa Rica. Not by Ticos and not by the vast majority of us that are trying to make a life here.

You may not fall into that category. I am the last one to judge someone from a discussion in a BB. But I do know that there are plenty that come here that are like that. I have no use for those people and I have no problem telling them to their face.

To funny  ....he says his central point is LIVE AND LET LIVE and then he goes on and on about how he can't Live and Let live, he must categorize people and tell them to their face that they are not welcome.

we are taking about there basic type of the brother hood
A come to CR to hit anything and every thing
B people who like having a sure thing while in town
C bros that have gone over the edge and make it work not may do
Live and let live yes but that may not be healthy for Mr A but is good for Mr B or C
