Doritos labled as "Nacho Atrevido" are NOT regular Nacho Cheese Doritos. :( They are spicy con Sabora a Queso y chile Jalapeno, with flavor of cheese and Jalapeno.

So my friends, buy your Doritos with caution because many supermarkets and convenient stores only carry the HOT Doritos. I have found the Nacho Cheese original Doritos at Hiper Mas and PriceMart. :)

Good Luck out there.

Will the Doritos clash with the Cheetos stains on my wife beater?

I doubt it could be as hot as some of the Vietnamese, Thai and Malaysian foods I enjoy here in Houston. Houston is a food mecca, one of the few things I'm going to miss about the place.

And from a personal Doritios in Costa Rica experience, don't eat too many. Think the ingredients are a bit different and leave me feeling a bit....well....you know.

Now, I know you adventurous types may decide to get crazy, as I did when I was drinking, and try the locally made triangle shaped chips . They are, in fact, quite tasty. They may be a little too tasty, can you say MSG overload !

Well, if you do partake in the locally made chips be forewarned, unlike Doritos, if you pass out and some of your chips spill on the bed, the locally made triangle shaped chips are almost impossible to wash off the bed sheets.

Again, Good Luck out there.

Doritos sold in Costa Rica are imported from Plano Texas so they should be the same. I haven't notice a difference.

Not that I'm a 'Doritos Nut' or anything like that. I like Pringles too.

P.S. And yes, these are the problems I face living in Costa Rica,, Along with 'Maria' calling from a private number and wanting to come over and Me trying to figure out which 'Maria' is she :?

It depends. If you buy the 2K+ colone bag with English, you are right. Exactly the same. However, the Doritos 'Queso Acelerado' with everything written in Spanish that I buy for 800 colones are made in Guatemala and distributed throughout Central America with Sabritas de Costa Rica the CR distributor. Looking at a bag of them now...
Import tax is the reason in the price difference and sorta tells you what kind of tax they put on food imported from outside Central America.

Now, how can Doritos get f-ed up. I experienced the non US doritos in mexico about 10 years ago. Spicy, in and out.

Hi, I am from Australia. You can wash off the triangle-shaped chips spill on bed sheets if Wash with the hottest water temperature setting listed on the care label. Polyester blends are best washed using warm water, while cotton can tolerate hot water. Hotter water kills most germs and also takes care of dust mites that thrive in bedding. Wash at least once every other week
