Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find the name of a restaurant I ate at last time in CR but I have not got a clue where it is or what its called but I want to go back. Perhaps by the description, someone will know.

Anyway, it's a locals type of place. All I know is that it's up in the mountains but has a great view overlooking SJ and the central valley. It has a playground in front and is a place the locals take their families. It has bench seating.

We turned off whatever main road we were on and followed this lane about half a mile and its on the left. If I remember rightly, it has some really nice (big) houses around it. It serves local fare and the food is delicious.

So, if you can make an educated guess, let me know. I want to go back, have a great meal and watch the world go by.

Cheers.

Sounds like the Ram Luna in Asseri, except as I recall the restaurant is on the righthand side of the driveway leading up from the main road. Fantastic views high up in the mountains overlooking SJ, local tico food and largely tico clientele, popular with family groups with small Ch*ldren and a small playground nearby. Sounds like the Ram Luna which is the most well known but there are also other "Mirador" restaurants in that area that could be the "tico" place you described.
