Is this supposed to be funny?
Well it isn't, just moronic.

Tierra Gaucha Parrilla Argentina on Paseo Colon is new, I read it's really good! The menu looks promising.

That's a good recommendation. I'll try it. I think they used to be located in Sabana Norte behind Rosti Pollos.

Any idea if this place has any relation to Terra Gaucha in Tampa and Jacksonville. That place is incredible but its a Brazillian BBQ type resturant

I don't think so. Also, the fact that "Argentina" is in the name tells me it's not Brazilian.

I was wondering where they went. Had dinner a few times at the old location and it was excellent = food, wine, and service. Went looking last time I was in San Jose and alas! the old spot was closed...

MH I went there last night and the beef was very, very good. I had the entraña. With three glasses of wine $50USD. Service was good as well. Only knock I have I that it has zero ambience or personality so I think I'll stay with La Esquina de Bs As as my number one place.

I dined at the aforementioned spot JM, across the street from Hotel Amistad. The property used to be an art school & then a failed burger joint. They are doing a good business-the windows of my room look out over Ave. 11 & I saw a steady stream of customers all days.

The menu is not for the faint of Spanish, as many terms & phrases were unfamiliar to me. The place makes you feel like you're in someone's living room. I had a delicious Carribean chicken dish with rice, beans, platano, & tried an empanada which was good. They serve beer & wine, & also some more unusual cuts of the cow, like tongue & tail. So if you're feeling a little adventurous, check it out!

This is a repost from earlier but figured I would repost it. This is a really good new restaurant.

https://www.facebook.com/La-Cuchara-Rum ... 057356974/

This is the facebook page for a new restaurant in San Jose and it is fantastic. It is Romanian and the food was really good, large portions and really reasonable prices. One of the drivers from Taormina turned me on to it. The owner speaks perfect English so ordering was really easy. Well worth the trip. Don’t know exactly where its located because I always Taxi when I go somewhere but it’s not to far from the gulch and well worth the trip. Near one of the hospitals because on one lunch trip there were a bunch of nurses in there, very nice scenery to go with lunch.

Thanks for the recommendation on JM. I haven't tried it but I spoke with the owner and he says his menu changes daily, traditional Costa Rican fare they is hard to find elsewhere.
