Have been going to Chubbs downtown for years. It gets full of those yuppie Ticos at night sometimes, but the food is always good. Not a bad place to watch American football. The sea bass and the casados are great and good value.

Santa Ana spot is open. Eso treses aré not as not as the Escazu branch.

Really enjoyed Chubbs for the 1st time on my recent trip. Was awesome getting eyeballs sitting there with a Nica, especially after her friend joined us for drinks.

Yeah, I'm there with hired company and her friend. But I'm not 30 years her senior with a gut hanging out from under my hawiian shirt and smelling like 3 day old fish. The scene wasn't really that outlandish. We all laughed about it and taught each other variants of "piss off" in english and espanol.
