Just went to Golfito for some shopping, and decided to stop by the Backyard Hotel for a quick lunch. I soon realized that I hadn't been there in a long time, because it was completely different. The bar was larger, and no outside bar. The air conditioned bar was gone. And like always, it was sweltering. I used to enjoy the tuna wraps there, so I ordered. Whereas it used to be 3 mil colones an order, it was now 7 mil. Beer prices are higher, too. So, for 2 tuna wraps and 3 beers, my tab was $40. Did I mention that the bartendresses were obese? The new owners are here to scalp everyone, avoid at all costs!! |
