Anything within a few blocks of the Lodge worth walking to?

I know an excellent Italian restaurant a short taxi ride away. L'ancora. nearFresh Market. San Pedro

Walk out of the SL turn right and walk to first intersection. Take a left and walk up to end of block and there is CAFE MUNDO on the left.

"Soda Peru" is an excellent little Peruvian seafood place that is reasonably priced... they are open during the afternoons. Coming from SL, make a right onto Avenida 9, walk about3 or 4 minutes to Calle 3A (the corner where Zona 2 & Scores are), make a left, walk about 50 meters up the hill, Soda Peru will be on the right near the corner with Avenida 7.

Great place and not expensive.

Restaurant Wong, Chinese 3.5 blocks south of SL near MASxMENOS grocery store. Excellent food good prices.

Hotel Amistad, American Cuisine 1 block east of SL. Great pork chops and daily specials. (CRT Discounter)

Cafe Mundo 1/2 south then 1 block east. Pastas, Seafood, Chicken, great sauces. (CRT Discounts)

All walking distance from SL.

Soda Acropolis is excellent across the street from the Hospital.

It was closed when I was there a few months ago.

La Criollita (50 mts west of INS building on Calle 7) is a great place for lunch and a favorite among INS employees. The restaurant offers excellent luncheon specials that won't break the bank. La Criollita is about 200 yards from SL...
