Unfortunately not recommending one but need one.. I am up early and like American type breakfast. I only have eaten at delmar and hlh for breakfast but want to try something else. Hopefully someone replies before 7am.. Prefer to walk from hlh but will take taxi if it's good. No breakfast here anymore

Try the Sleep Inn, in the lobby, right next to HDR.

Self-service buffet.....all you can eat. $7.00 every day. Pretty good with a lot of trimmings.

+1, scrambled eggs, bacon, juices, fruits, toast, buns, milk, coffee, rolls, cereals, bunch of other stuff. Nice spread. American style hotel. Right next to the DR. Security at the street gates. Tell him, no problem. They have a lady bringing food and coffee out during bk time, if you want something made, give her a buck and she'll get er done in the kitchen.

Guys,

We are now offering 2 breakfast options on the weekends for CRC 3000 ($6)!

Desayuno Tipico: Gallo pinto, huevos al gusto, queso frito y plantano maduro.
or
American breakfast: Scambled or fried eggs with toast and homemade fries.

if you are serving fried cheese it is fine

I assumed you meant fried potatoes which would be:

papas frito; papas=potato or "french fries"

Can't a Tico breakfast have fried cheese :?:

I've even had fried ice cream as a dessert at a first class dinner.

Years ago Del Rey used to have a good breakfast. That was when someone wanted to stay there. I would recommend Dunn Inn. You can have fruits, eggs, coffee, pancakes, omelets, FRESH oj,etc. All well priced with CNN in the background.

I like the Gallo Pinto at the Dunn Inn, better than most establishments in the gulch. The bacon sucks.

cheers,
Attila

Can we get some grits on the menu, in just one place? I'll furnish the grits, you furnish the cheddar cheese.
