check out las mananitas, a mexican restaurant. You get enchilladas, fajitas, quesadillas, and tortilla soup all of which are vegetarian.

Location?

It is located on calle 40 near avenue 3 and near Banco de Costa Rica. It is a 9 minute cab ride from HDR.

Here are two links to the map.

if tripadvisor's map is hard to read, here is google maps.

I like the Vishnu restaurants. There are two downtown, not far from Del Rey. One is on Avenue 1, and the other is on avenue 3. The lunch special is always good, includes soup, salad, entrée, and desert for $6-7. The soups are great and worth having by themselves when one is not so hungry. And, they always have fresh baked breads and desserts for sale.

Very true. I am vegetarian myself and use Vishnu all thr time. It is walkable from delray and on same street. There is a Taiwanese restaurant close to delray. When you exit delray there is a big park to your right hand side. This restaurant is right in front of park, near souvenir shop. Comida something. Closes esrly in evening
Tinjo near telax MP is excellent as well but expensive
I also had a personal size veggie pizza made at a pizza shop just near del ray. There are subways and quiznos as well. Plenty of options.

Coma Verde. In addition to vegetarian dishes, and fresh juices, they feature gluten free pizza. They are half block from Hotel La Amistad uphill across the tracks heading towards Hospital Calderon on the right (south) side. The owner is Italian.

Is that in the little mall? There used to be a good pizza place there that was non veg, but they closed down.

Pretty much all Chinese places have veg dishes and on the off chance one doesn't, they can make it for you. I understand if you DATY and she's not on her period it qualifies for approval by vegans...
