Just booked another trip to Germany for February 25th to March 6th. I will be dividing my time between The red light district in Frankfurt and the FKK club in Darmstadt.

Darmstadt is where I was stationed at in the army so it has always had a special place in my heart. I found some really nice apartments to rent through Airbnb while I stay in Darmstadt for around $60 per night.

In Frankfurt I booked some rooms for $45 a night right outside the train station.

Will report back on my return. I'm planning on booking a trip to San Jose on my return from Germany as well as a trip back to Asia.

Safe travels all..

i stayed at the Excelsior Hotel outside central station 2 years ago. Excellent free breakfast. Very noisy at night due to the trams/trolleys running till late at night and again very early in the morning.
Hope you are a heavy sleeper.
I enjoyed strolling around the RLD and having cheap quickies for 20 euroes.
I liked FKK Oase a lot.

I've stayed in the bahnhofsviertel many times and the noise has never really bothered me. And I agree with you, $20 to $30 a pop, you can't beat the deal. I love shopping in the red light district.

Throughout most of the 1980's I travelled to Germany almost yearly. Always enjoyed the Red Light district in Frankfurt. Then went through a roughly 10 year absence and when I returned in the late 1990's the Red Light District seemed like a ghost town. Seemed like a lot had changed and for the worse. Haven't been back since as Costa Rica has by far been the better destination for me but wonder how things are these days in Germany as I'm thinking of a return visit there later this year.
