The weather, especially November, should be fine.

Yes, if you are a salamander.

"Guanacaste's climate and culture are unique among Costa Rican provinces. The province experiences little rain and consistent heat from November to April, resulting in ubiquitous tropical dry forests as a natural adaption to the dry season conditions. Tourists seek out this dry heat during the North American winter to enjoy the Guanacastecan beaches. Irrigation of the agricultural land is necessary during the long dry period. From May to October, the climate is similar to that of San José, consisting of showers daily and moderate temperatures. Guanacaste is, however, considerably warmer than other provinces in the country located in higher elevations."

If its on the Internet, it has to be true.

October is one of the wettest months in the Central Valley. The rains sometimes let up in November, but one year I was there November was quite wet. From mid December to the end of February it is generally dry in the Central Valley (San Jose).

But...I've been there in October, November, December...etc. It didn't cause me any real problems. The sun still shines...sometimes. Rain doesn't usually last for days, and I was often distracted from weather anyway.

Will be interesting to see how it goes getting your pre-flight testing and insurance. Let us know what your insurance costs. I would go if I could get insurance cheap enough and I felt it was safe. I can get my testing done and results in time, I know that is available here, but the insurance cost and other things make me hesitate.

Zeos, the insurance with INS seems to be about $12 a day, depending on your age, it might be cheaper.
I don't know about Canada, but the costs fror a 72 hr test are not really bad. But of course no word what monger venues will be open.

Costs for tests are zero here. The insurance cost seemed to be a lot more than that for age 70 when I checked...but hopefully could be had for that range of cost (say $12 per day or less).

Are there any covid requirements when re-entering the US from CR? 14 day quarantine?
Thanks

Yay on 11/1 but is the US requiring any form of quarantine upon returning to US. I looked at the State Department website but couldn't find any US re-entry from Costa Rica.

From what I know, you do NOT have to quarantine when coming back from CR to your home state.

I don't think it would be enforceable anyway. When I went to Oklahoma my stepmother told me I had to quarantine 14 days. I did so to make her happy but it was basically on my honor. Nobody except my family even knew I was there. I can't see them tracking everyone that enters the country. Maybe someone who has returned recently will chime in.
