Hey guys, I was texting with the girls at the front desk of sportsman's. They have employees that are in trouble and having a tough time of it. They help us out every trip we make! It's our turn to help out in return. FYI closed until at least 1 July!

I propose sending them some money to be used for foodstuffs only, no money for rent, no cash for booze, no dinero for drugas! If we can get say 100 guys sending 25 soon, and another 25 in 2 weeks, that's 5k worth of food for employees in need! 50 is less than our typical weekend bar tab at sportsman's!

If any in the crowd wants to join in let me know here and send me a direct email. Still working out details, maybe an excel spreadsheet in the cloud so all who donate can see what goes in, from whom, and what gets purchased for those in need!

A commendable good idea but it might be better if Bill were to set up a gofundme page. This way everybody knows him and I think would be more comfortable in donating for a good cause. I'm sure your intentions are honorable but posting as someone on this board is pretty much unknown except to a few. I really do think this is a good idea but needs someone at ground zero to really make it work. Hope Bill will consider this.

I can attest this is legit. I don't know Inspector, but I know those that work at SL who are involved and I know this funding has been a discussion for a bit. I told the SL personnel involved that the only concern I had was what would Bill think as he may think they were behind it and may reflect bad on him. They got the OK for this.

I don't know for sure, but Bill "running it" may cause some tax or other liabilities for him and the business.

A few suggestions:

1. What about La Amstar and Castillo employees ?

2. Can you reach out to well known guys on the ground there like Pops, Boynton and Netgems, BangBang57 and have them join and attest to this scheme.

3. How about Bill and Matt adding their 2 colones about this ?

A really good phiilanthrophic gesture.

I haven't talked to anyone at la amastad in years and I have never been to Castillo. Unfortunately those places are not my concern. I talk to sportsman's people all the time. I have one on the ground guy now, but if others want to check to get this idea off of double secret probation, my email was in the first post, or they can chime in here.

Front desk at sportsman's asked me to post this: "Can you let people know on CRT that Bill has been paying us 50% since April? Of course is not enough because we are used to tips and commissions, the bartenders and cooks the 10% tax services."
