A chica I know travelled back from just south of Jaco to San Pedro last night. Trip time with blockades was 7 hours. Today CRHoy published a couple of videos of protesters in Quepos https://www.crhoy.com/nacionales/video- ... a-publica/ Don't expect this to be covered in the tourism focused English language media, but the first video is where they "cornered and beat members of the Public Force". The second clip is where they "threw a Molotov cocktail at a group of three officers with the intention of burning them alive." If you are coming to CR, stay in San Jose at one of the CRT sponsoring hotels, visit well knows venues for chicas. Depending on current events, maybe use a guide/driver to go to the Cocal. I usually advocate for getting out and seeing the country. Perhaps next visit. |
