What it shows us is that there are more options besides "hiding in the house" or throwing caution to the wind, which has been a popular false choice. I just got an e-mail from Sportsmen's Lodge that they are re-opening in a couple of weeks. Does this mean that bars and restaurants are going to be open? From what I read in this thread I thought things were still shut down. Since I am a little confused by all of this I would appreciate it if someone would clarify what will or won't be open if I head down in November. Thanks in advance. |

Protests going on now are different than the usual anti-uber stand around and pout. Last week a car was torched in Quepos, last night 15 police were beaten east of San Jose and police fired tear gas into protesters were in Puntarenas. Normally docile Ticos are a but more restive.
