Move to Antarctica it can't survive the extreme cold. Seriously, if you take the number of deaths versus infected it comes out to about 1.83% death. If you are in reasonable health you shouldn't have that much too worry about. The media is really ramping it up, more people have died from the flu than COVID-19. I have been using this opportunity to scour for cheap fares and other economic opportunities. I've set my target date for end of May and seen fares as low as below $300 on Copa from LAX. I also just had a Airbnb owner come back to me and drop his price on a 5 night stay by more than $200 compared to about 10 days ago. Corona will not hold me back. |

went to the local LA costco w my gf tonight and there was zero water or paper products she looked at me and said "stupidity is real" and i just shook my head 98% survival rate amongst those not old and infirm or young and undevelped i think david byrne said it best "same as it ever was" "and look where my hand was" wash your hands geezus |

Kleenex, Paper Towels, beer....etc. in plenty supply. Then again, that was yesterday. These things can change in a heartbeat. |

Not to be alarmist but the fear of the Corona is the overall rate of death (2% of those infected) compared to the rate of death of those who have the flu (.002 %) at least per the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/flu.htm Would it stop me from traveling somewhere south? No, but not to Asia right now. |

CR may be acting in the right manner, temperature testing at airports has never been effective and many countries will not do it. The warm weather in CR is also a strong tool in prevention as it many need a cold climate to spread the way it has. |
