I just signed up for VIP status!

I have done some research on this board and I just have to go see for myself.

I want to start making reservations for 3/21/05-03/25/05.

1) I will make my own airline reservation.
2) I would like to stay at the Sportsmen Lodge, I have read here it is not right in the middle of the action but that is fine with me.
3) My flight should arrive at 1 pm.
4) I want to make a reservation with G&G ******* to have a travel companion meet me at the airport and spend the rest of the day and night with me as I probably won't feel like going out after the flight. This way I can start having some fun right away. I know I could save some bucks by shopping around for a toda la noche tica but I think this would be easier the first day. Plus I think I would like to have someone meet me at the airport.
5) The next day I will start to visit some of the places I have read about on this board.
6) I also would like to spend a day fishing, is this possible? From what I read everyone is going on a fishing vacation but no one really does. I will be there for 5 days so I could easily use one day to fish. Hopefully I will need the rest.

Any comments? Any advice good or bad will be appreciated.

I can't wait to get validated VIP!

When I saw the picture of Vanessa, the Tica of the month, I knew it was time to go to CR!

Thanks for any feedback.

I think you are making a great decision using an escort to begin your vacation. Obviously, you have been reading the board and know finding a decent chica at the DR is hit or miss.
G&G seems to be very consistent.

You ought to be able to book a fishing trip out of the DR travel desk or maybe even at the Sportsmen's Lodge (I have never stayed there).
Quepos is excellent for deep sea fishing and you can probably do a trip by taking an early Sansa flight. If you drive, it is 3 1/2 hours from San Jose.

Going fishing on a 5-day trip might be pushing it.

If you spend the 1st day traveling then with a G&G girl you'll still be in San Jose for day two.

You'll have to be on the coast early, that means you'll either have to be there the night before or leave San Jose about 3AM. Plus you'll need to make arrangements for a boat. Fishing will be done on day 3.

After fishing you'll be beat for the trip back. If you wait until the next day (day 4) you'll also waste half of that day.

It can be done but will create quite a hole in your short trip. Just something to consider.

Herbf,

Welcome to CRT. I don't think that there's anything wrong with you living out your fantasy by having a beautiful G&G escort to meet you at the airport and spend the whole day with you.

However, I have to agree with Witling that 5 days in CR may not be enough time for you to squeeze the fishing trip in on your first trip. Unless having sex with many beautiful women is not your first priority then I can see that a one day fishing trip could be possible for you. What happens if you had enjoyed your first day with you escort date so much that you want to see her another day. Well, that's 2 days out of 5. Yet you have not seen the Blue Marlin Bar, the KL, the massage parlors, the strip clubs. Trust me, 5 days on your first trip to CR will go by very fast.

Oh and let's not forget about Vanessa, the girl you come to CR to see. You go on a fishing trip. She is working that day. You come back from the fishing trip to see her, guess what, she's on her period and can't work for the next 3 days. It's a possibility. :D

I concur with Witling and Dino. I would forget the fishing trip unless
you plan to stay a mimimum of six days. Believe me, the time flies
by like you've never experienced before! Your five days there will
seem like two or three. The days always seem to (and actually do) run into another. If you're like myself and many other mongers, you
will find it difficult to get more than four hours sleep a night. Depending on your age and fitness, the sex, partying and touring should really hit
you on about the fifth day. I usually 'hit the wall' on about the fifth or sixth day. It's just too much excitement, partying, sex and lack of sleep. Hell, even after many trips, most mongers find it difficult to 'pace themselves'.

Pura Vida!

Go for it. you can always sleep when you get home and the fishing is great down here. It's fun to play with the girls but a real shame to come all the way to this beautiful country and only see a few blocks of the country.

Go FISHING!!!! Understand....it's only my opinion. But, if you like to fish even a little bit, Jaco is a great place.

OK....I've put myself in you're shoes. First, if you don't know any boat charters or people to hook you up with offshore fishing, I would do some serious web browsing. Find a charter out of Jaco. Find a way to Jaco (I know a great guy and can fix you up with fishing and round trip f/SJ to Jaco if need be). Book a room at the Copacabana.

I would I would do my little G&G, meet at the airport, tica thing. Plan to leave early on day 2. Say your goodbyes early and head to Jaco. Fish that day......I know it sounds brutal.....but you can leave San Jose at 5:00 and be at the Boat by 7:00. Fish hard that day. Catch sailfish and dourado.....and who know's.....a blue marlin. Take your dourado back to the Copacabana and have them cook it for you. Walk to the Beetle bar that night and chances are you will find some tica, nica or whatever you like.

Sleep in that morning and feel refreshed to head back to San Jose (day 3). You should be able to check in to a hotel and be at the BM by happy hour, refreshed and with a great fishing story to tell.

I'm sure some of the others at CRT may disagree......but, on my first trip to CR....I went to chase the girls and "oh by the way....do some fishing". Now I return to FISH and "oh by the way" chase the girls.

Just my honest opinion. Good luck.........let the fish take the bait, don't horse it......set the drag......and have a blast.

Pura Vida,

OFT
