YO Cali:

Thanks for the note. My good luck coin I gave to your lady was with good intentions and respectfully wishing you and her the best. And yes, I have given silver dollars to women before. I'm not quite sure of the meaning of your post. BTW, there are some really sweet Colombians out there but you know that first hand anyway.....you are a lucky hombre with your choice. Say hi to her from old Circus.

Yo Circus, I was wondering if you ever dressed up in a clown outfit and entertained the public on any of your trips to Costa Rica?

I remember you showing some magic tricks to the ladies at breakfast.

you're a smooth dude, buddy, for real.

wish I had half the stories you have to tell.

anyway, hope we all get to visit Costa Rica again, and soon.

I'm going to start studying some magic tricks.

Laughter is indeed the best medicine for this sometimes trying life.

I know a number of people living in country I occasionally run into a friendly situation that produces a Tica moment. Up until about four years ago I use to entertain K*ds in the parks doing my magic tricks or clown goofs and had a great pleasure doing that. A groups of K*ds are a captive audience but their madres were almost as Ch*ld like as their K*ds. BTW, back in the 80's that was a another way to meet non-working Ticas.....entertaining their Ch*ldren. Make the Ch*ld happy then the mother smiles and walla....unless they are still married or have a tico boyfriend.
Now I understand your handle  . I didn't know you did all this & I am truly impressed. There is something special about the openness & genuineness of the CR culture. It is easy to make them smile & this part I really like also. Sometimes it is almost more fun to give joy than receive it. There are too many frowns & unfriendly people with nasty attitudes & self-centeredness that I see in the USA for my likes.

Here is an example that happened the other day in the USA at a party at a Gringos house. All these people seemed to be having an ok time but the Latinos who were the financially poorer part of the group were having more fun it appeared to me than any one else. They stole the show of just being real laughing at simple things etc. There were so excited & animated telling funny yet simple stories. They were not name dropping or trying to impress about house size which the gringas kept talking about but rather sharing stories about funny experiences. I could tell many Gringas were really observing this also. They seemed to want to join in but didn't seem comfortable as to how.

Gringos in general seem to be STIFF & have more trouble finding fun in simple things like when we were childrenn. To be fair many of the Gringas were older than the Latinas. So many of the Gringas that I talked to had that look & expressions of confusion about who they really are & what new meds the Dr. Might put them on to fix all their problems & stop the aging process. The Latinas seemed to not worry about how to hide every new wrinkle & just enjoy being alive making the most of it.

I think this is what many of us find intriguing about the Latinos & their culture. They just feel more real & genuine to me where we seem more caught up in BS. The guys I saw that CR had little effect on seemed to be the guys that where into the social fake crap that they are all caught up in. Hey if that works for them GREAT but It just wasn't cutting it for me anymore. It sure has been fun being a happier person for all these years from what the Latino culture has shown & taught me.

As a few of my long time friends on this site know, I will not cruise the BM, DR for women. I am absolutely turned off by the meat factory of tattoos, piercings, many overweight and overpriced array of flesh bitchitas.

Well Circus looks like you have completed your case studies at HDR & finally graduated. Good for you & I am not too far behind you I feel in this area now. Maybe I will make it also  ? It is great to have that hot hard body to penetrate & SPUNK around with to recapture the feel of our youth but I do feel this is very limited & I rather be sharing the bulk of my time with something a little more joyful & fulfilling. Just a matter of time I believe  .

Yea, I concur with those points. Actually, I just miss the CR as I knew it but that hapens throughout our lives....nothing remains the same....that's life. Age has a lot to do with our outlook in this world and certainly it changes the way we view what gives us satisfaction. Sadly, there are fewer trips when I get on that plane headed back to gringo land where I can relish a certain chica experience that was special.

I talk very little about why I use the handle Circus but since you mentioned it perhaps let me shine a little light on it. I was a circus performer for over 5 years. Mostly a high wire arelist along with several other ballacing acts. I did clown acts for the extra dinero....even did a lot of K*D's birthdays and fair events as a clown and juggler. It helped pay the rent. I later became a stage actor touring the states in musicals which is probably why I can make women think I'm something that I'm not just to get in their pants......well at least back when my special purpose was cooperative.

Yep, grandaddy Circus did the same shit but he was also a train robber....true story. I sort of wonder if he may have known Butch Cassidy but he was mostly robbing trians in Texas along with his working on the building of the Panama Canal....holding up men on payday as a side job.

Yep, there is a lot of pride in the Circus family of him. Shit, now it's just old me as the patron with no banners on the wall. Sort of hard to lament the fact that chicas give me an introductory of "NEXT"

I'm just pitiful.

At least when you go you are going to go with a big smile on your face! Think of all the good times and women you had in CR and how some other man who has never ventured to another country to see what most women are like is going to be thinking when he goes!

Zippy, do you live in CR now? If so, how long and where?

I noticed you said you brought girls from CR to the US as friends. How did you do this? Did they have VISA's? How difficult was it to bring them back if they had a VISA?

Also, yes I have seen that porn movie title. I get AVN magazine every month as I am in the industry and remember seeing that and laughing and thinking , man that could be me filming something like this! In fact, it gives me another reason to explore living in Buenos Aires, CR, and Rio. I'm sure I can pull that off. I just need to plan it very well.

Anyway, thanks for everyone who contributed to this post. I found it very interesting to hear what it was like in the 80's.

I now consider the Hotel DR similar to that of Adelita's in TJ. THe only difference is there are more semi pro's in the bar and you have a better chance of having a better time in HDR than at Adelita's.

Romulus,

I don't live there but have my network of friends & spend what I consider enough time down their. It isn't so much bringing a Latina back with me as much as it is them coming to visit me. I always seemed to hit it off with many families I visited & they always invited me to stay with them & I returned this offer to them in the States. They have their own Visas & $$$ so they can do what they want. Some are checking out if they like the USA for attending college etc. MANY just love to go shopping at our mega stores & malls  . They are just friends & nothing going on as far as what we consider a lot of fun but it is fun to just entertain & learn from them. It helps that they can stay at my place to cut down on their expenses also. They have got to trust you a lot to do this plus their families have to know & trust you.

This takes time & you have to earn this trust & if several come as a group they feel much safer also. If they knew I ever mongered around they would lose much trust in me. I would not blame them :o ! I will say one thing about entertaining these Latinas. I have had more honest to goodness fun with them than many gringas I was sleeping with. Some are just so much fun with the cultural differences. Many are so full of life & uninhibited personality :D . I am just not one of those guys that has to be phucking someone to have fun. It all flows where it naturally wants to go & I don't see being pushy or weird about anything. Better for me to have good friends I can trust. I get enough of what I value when I need it  .

It could be fun to bring some P4P types back to the States but these are the most problematic type of Latinas in my book. The ones from a better economic class behave in a much more behaved or predicatable fashion  . It is much easier to trust the better economic class. The P4P type can not get visas much of the time because they do not have many assets other than their pu$$ies & the Govt senses they will not return if allowed to go to the USA. They could probably get a Visa to Cuba for example much easier because the CR govt feels they will return from there.

I have always kept things very separate in my life. It is pretty easy for me to read people accurately I believe. I can see who would be offended by trying to be more than just friends & the ones that want to be more than just friends or like P4P. I just don't see blurring these lines.

I have learned so much from being around the different economic classes of Latinas. What is amazing to me is some of the poorer ones are the real physical beauties & also very sweet. Less attitude & issues it seems also. The better economic class of Latinas I have entertained in the States would never think I do P4P is my belief. They know I don't have to do this to have women around but if you like hassle free sex I believe it is the smartest way to go.

Just in watching the Panochitas series of movies where you can break it all down in detail I see many of the differences between Latinas & Gringas. Latinas always seem much softer & more genuine to me :P .

Circus,

I like your posts like these where you talk about your cool past & interesting life you have lived. Most people do not have this type of life & colorful family experience 8) ! Stop being so hard on yourself & your old 2" pecker & things will get better I promise  . None of us are what we once were that is for sure but you can always grow your life in different ways. I enjoy the fact that I have made some Ticas lives better & it wasn't by giving them $$$. I have some really nice Tica & Tico friends. This can be better than mongering around too me :D . It is all GOOD!
