Boy the games at the Del Rey and Horseshoe seem to go back and forth. I like to play around 4pm to 8 or 9pm do I don't go home (Escazu) during the rush hour. For quite a while the DR was the place to play. They spent quite a bit of money to create their Poker room. The Horseshoe well is "The Horseshoe." Well things have changed once again. The DR doesn't get a game going until way after the 4pm time they say. The Horseshoe seems to always have a game by 4pm and sometimes it gets to 2 tables. All games are 1 2.

Is the Horseshoe the best bet for getting into a poker game during the day or is there another game in town that starts earlier?

Also, any other comments as far as Casino Paradiso?

Stopped in to play some hold em at The Horseshoe on my recent trip. Ron is the guy to see if you want to play there. Dave wasn't there when I went. They try to get the game going by 2pm and by the time I left at 6:30, there were two tables going.

I was told the game gets pretty loose and crazy as the night goes on. One of the regulars pointed a guy who was just getting there as I was about to leave who apparently plays insane. Brutal beats by some really bad play were normal. Saw a guy AAs twice in an hour and lost to KKs both times with all the money in before the flop. Then again, I saw a guy CALL two all ins with Q-3 suited against AAs and AK. He made a wheel when the case ace hit to add insult to injury for the AAs. Brutal.

Would still play there again as the HDR starts later and is not my style.
