I have a customer who is the manager and have several customers who have visited Silver King Lodge - Costa Rica (on facebook). 200 lb. tarpon and lots of fun and action. They have air transportation from Pavis airport in San Jose to the lodge in the very NE of CR.
Check it out.

Fished many times right there on the Rio Colorado out of the old Archie Fields Lodge now known as the Rio Colorado Lodge. The Tarpon are plentiful and fun to catch...beautiful area with lots of wildlife. Airstrip at barra Colorado with flights out of Pavas, or by boat via the pencil canal from Tortugero. Once flew a well known San Jose nica/fillipina hottie out there with me for an enjoyable visit and didn't even fish!

I'm thinking about going up there for a couple of days fishing. I have local connections and it would be an economy trip. Anyone interested in splitting the cost of an adventure to one of the most remote places in Costa Rica combined with world class tarpon fishing let me know.

If I was up there with her, I would have forgotten about fishing too.

I did the tarpon fishing trip last weekend with a Canadian friend. We had more fish than we wanted to real in. A couple were so big it took close to two hours each to get them in and released. The trip was easily one of the best in my lifetime and I have had many great trips. This month is expected to be a very good month there for catching monster tarpon.

I wonder who WiseAsh's customer is ( 8) ).

There's also one day packages available, check out Lucky 13's posting on that.
