I have a sister and brother in law arriving in SJ in early November. They want to walk around and look the town over. I was thinking the Balmoral and walking on the bricked areas only. Any ideas?

Put them up in the Marriott Hotel in Los Suenos (Jaco) Downtown San Jose is ugly except for the chicas. It reminds me of Newark, NJ. Los Suenos is beautiful and the marina has many beautiful large boats.

I was just driving past some rough sections in Newark on my way to Montclair 3 weeks ago. The comparison is pretty close.

Ok....are they a couple or siblings in the LAW business. If they are a couple, the Balmoral is too deep in the gulch. In San Jose....there are better choices just outside the gulch but close enough to walk the city during the day. What are their interests and time in SJ? Costa Rica is beautiful outside the gulch....
