It's a Friday night thing. Last Friday they started playing dance music around 8 PM. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard Patrick Hernandez, The Trammps, and other old school disco hits. The DJ started out with remixes of 70's and 80's disco hits set to modern beats, then segued into Latin house.
Very cool IMO and surely enjoyed by the ticos who hang there, but of course totally wrong for us old gringo farts with no rhythm
And yes, the SL seemed pretty dead both Friday and Saturday nights.
