I have been slow with the thoughts of Zona. I stayed there in March for 8 days. The place is great! I stayed in Freddie's Palace then Jim moved me to Lucky13. I had a blast. Great ladies, great Happy Hour, and great Friday parties. The staff, not that I need it, as I speak pretty good Spanish, all speak English and are ready to help with whatever you need. I live in Cabarete, DR. If you have questions about DR, send me a message. With the summer rates at Zona it is a steal. Only draw back is no restaurant, but there is a great Tico place around the corner for breakfast and all the other ones nearby which everyone knows about so no need to list.

Thanks Jim and hope all is well with you. See you in a couple months.

How does Zona II work after hours when your staying there? What I mean is are you free to come and go during all hours of the night/day? Do you enter through the front entrance? Buzzed in? Do they vet the girl (check ID) you may bring back to your room? I'm curious because of the special pricing, and because I had to wait a little longer than I thought I should have had to to be let in during daytime business hours. How does it work at 2am?

There is a guy at the front desk all night. I had no problems coming and going at any time of the day or night. Sometimes the guy is doing his walk around so you wait outside until he returns. I told home when I left Zona I would be back late, rang the bell, and waited in the taxi until he opened the door. Not a great area to be waited at 2AM on the sidewalk alone.
