Last night Latino Heat and I went to Il Ritorno. I had been hearing that it was now very expensive and not very good. .... WRONG... LH loves the place even with Marco (owner) both cooking and waiting tables. At 7 00 pm we were the ONLY customers in the place. Well I had the sea bass and LH had his favorite....lasagna and loved it. I asked Marco how business was. He responded that it wasn t very good.

This is my favorite restaurant in San Jose. I had heard they closed and didn't go there two weeks ago during my last trip. Glad they are still around and will definitely hit it in November.

IMHO Lemoncello in San Pedro has the best Italian.

Bob, We were just talking about that place last week. Dewey asked me if it was still open and I told him I didn't know as I haven't been there in quite a while. Thanks will give it a try in a couple of weeks.

Last time I was there Marco told me it was closing the next day and he was opening a pizza place in San Pedro?

Well....VB and I took a taxi over there and I can confirm that this place has been closed.

Tried Lemoncello as the alternative....not my cup of tea, my meal (Lasagna) was very bland (no seasoning) and VB's wasn't much better.

I called Il Ritorno on Wednesday at 1:30 PM, Phone 22536239 the person who answered said they are still in business. Open for dinner at 6PM. I believe they are closed on Sundays. I have dined there many times, good food.
