Thanks for the support guys. The times are tough here, and with my dad's other problem that he had major surgery for 3 years ago, makes a lot of surgeons nervous to operate. I figured I'd add this in my response to say thanks to all that responded.

The potential complications that may happen forced me to post this message originally

Looks like I may get a trip this year after all by how things look so far according to the doctors. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy the trip and not worry as much. Plan to see people in may.

Hey, I know we don't know each other, even though we may have rubbed elbows in the SPORTSMAN OR the Del Ray. But it is a good thing you are doing for your dad. I wish you and him the best of luck. And remember Costa Rica will always be here, waiting for you with open arms.

Hey guys, just a update on this post, dad passed away 2 days after thanksgiving and right now my life is up in the air, and any future return is doubtful. Once again, thanks to everyone for the past 6 years and I'll be lurking but the joy of taking a trip to CR isn't there like it was

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully things will straighten out and you will be able to make a return trip down the road. In the mean time, take it one day at a time.

Hello Kb, I am sorry to hear of you fathers passing. It is hard to see a loved one suffering and you have been selfless in caring for him.
Life has to be lived looking forward and you now have to think of taking up where you left off when you put your life on hold to do your filial duty. You need have no regrets and should be glad you were able to do your duty to the utmost.
We had a great time at Scores in 2012 and though much has changed in CR you can be sure there are many of us who know you and would like to see you back.
Take care.
